HR – A viaduct

HR – A Viaduct!! How many of us will believe it?
HR – A peacemaker!! Do we agree?
HR – A listening Ears!! Can we say the same?

Human Resource Department is a crucial department in any organization. There is always a conflict in any organization about relative importance of different departments in the Company viz-a-viz HR Department.  It is pertinent to note that all Departments / Functions in the Company are important and an organization cannot ignore the functioning of any Department to run its business effectively.

HR always acts as a facilitator or counselor where people feel easy to share their concerns, joy, happiness as well as grievances. Here the HR becomes a care taker and performs the role of a friend.

HR is a bridge between the Organization and an Employee. HR ensures that the interest of both employee and organization is maintained to an equilibrium level and an environment of a win- win situation is created.

HR is employee’s. Just imagine if there would be no HR, who would have been managing all the employees put together. By this we can say that “HRD is at par with all the other departments too”.

“Always put yourself in others' shoes” is the famous saying, but we fail to try the same when it comes to HR department. HR is one department where a person is patience, cool, calm, organized and very humble while interacting with employees. Because that’s the department where an employee goes with all his problems, doubts, sufferings, etc and he expects atleast an ear to listen and a shoulder to put a head on.

It’s just a matter of fact that by changing our outlook, nature, being humble towards subordinates and colleague, respecting individuality; everything around us can change. In such a way one needs to understand the different departments, their work and nature of work inorder to achieve a success and work happily.

In my opinion, HR is a bridge between Organization and an Employee; and one need to walk slowly, peacefully on the same, as jumping, shaking or mishandling can lead to breakage or malfunctioning of the same. Thus, a better coordination and understanding is the important factor in smooth functioning of everyone. Hence can we say “HR – A Viaduct” is still a thing that ponders me.
