Ahmedabad-Delhi-Vaishnov Devi-Dalhousie-McLoedGanj, Dharamshala
Thanks to moi Boss who approved my leave for this Incredible India Trip. A trip which was actually in planning since December 2010 for Leh-Ladhak on Bike took an U Turn and explored other parts of North India.
Normally we say that A pilgrimage trip is possible only if God wants to call you. Well its true & I would say my Vaishnov Devi trip came true just like that. Nowhere planned till March, suddenly booked the tickets.. a bit hurdles to clear & finally God’s invitation was much stronger which surpassed all the obstacles.
Day 0 – Back packed, unsteady mind due to non sure on going for this Great & desired trip. Finally concurring everything left for train at around 4pm. We booked our tickets by Ashram Exp till Delhi & from Delhi to Jammu by Udhampur Exp. After a long time, this was my first trip fully governed by Indian Public Transport System leaving aside my Bike which helped me in exploring most of Gujarat in Last 2 years.
Day 1 - Reached Delhi in morning at around 10 AM and started planning for the day. I & my friend we both left to explore the delhi. Our first destination… of course, none other than famous Jantar Mantar; Not because its great monument to see but also because Shri Anna Hazare was there to fight against Corruption and we planned to visit the same too.
Lets head to the site first and later to Jantar Mantar. It was really nice to see lot of people supporting for anti corruption bill. Slogans were on from India to Italy… 1 Lakh to 1 Rani J Clicked few snaps… supported by signature campaign & the place was flooded with media too.
Now lets go to Jantar Mantar…. It is really a nice place. Had been to Delhi 2 times before but due to scarcity of time never explored delhi much. So this time it was number of Jantar Mantar & liked it. It was flooded with students & couples (but in very less no.) & few visitors like us.
After this, we headed to Palika Bazar, Canaught place & one more market which I am unable to recollect the name. All these places were beautiful. Canaught place was full of couple (& this time it was full) …. Each and every corner you will find one couple… never mind even we were in couple but unfortunately MALE couple… hehe…. The place was really beautiful & loved it.
With this, we planned to end our Delhi trip and head to Railway Station for our night train to Jammu. This was the first time when I really liked Delhi after being visited Delhi for 2 times before.
...to be continued...
