Thanks to Teju, due to him the trip came true. Sun Temple very well known as Surya Mandir is a wonderful heritage site to look at. Yesterday 3rd January 2010, with the opening of the New Year my first travel trip too came ahead. Almost finalized on Saturday and with no mood on Sunday we shed off the plan to see Sun Temple. However, sometimes destiny has its own way and suddenly with no expectation I got a call from Teju – a friend who was in dilemma on whether to go or not on this trip till the day before.
Finally, it was his call and immediate acceptance by me and my relatives that it turned out. It was around 100Km journey from my place with took us around 3 hours in bike including lunch, refueling to reach the place. Sun Temple was superb that’s was I can say.
Located in the midst of some village around 25 Km from Mehsana with beautiful surroundings, lush green environment and cold breeze flowing around. I would suggest a must visit for the travelers who travel to Gujarat or is on the way to Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mount Abu, Udaipur.

Where exactly Modhera is? Is it on way between Ahmedabad and Mount Abu? How far is it from Ahmedabad? And how to reach there from Ahmedabad?
