3A Trip – 3

Good Morning, Good Morning… abee uth…. Subah hogayi mamuuuu…. Errr… my eyes opened with all good words that flown through my ears. My cousin was singing all this ragas to wake me up. It was 7Am and we planned to leave by 8AM for our onwards journey. Almost by 8.15Am we were ready and also completed the Darshan at Temple. Had snacks outside the temple on a tea & snacks stall. Nice hot Gujarati snacks started our day.

We put on our gears and started the bike for the onward journey to Vasda, Awha and to Saputara. It took almost 1 hour to reach Vasda where we halted to have tea and relaxing our straight posture of bike. It was around another 1 hour journey from Vasda to Awha. The roads to awha were too scenic. Bike ride made it much more pleasing and it was a dream come true. Trees on both the side, hills in front, water flowing on the sides… what more one can think off. Yes, How Romantic… unfortunately we both were without any companion though… hehehe.

What is this… I shouted. To this my cousin reacted… What… what happen to you. See the meter … I mean fuel meter… Very less fuel left. We need to find the pump or else.. Bike can go down easily on slope… ofcourse one can’t push it to top to find the pump. Chill… he said. We can easily drive around 60-70Km even with this fuel and in the mean while we can get the fuel at Awha.

Huh… Y should I only worry, let’s enjoy the beauty… I said. Took on my camera and started clicking the snaps and took few videos too. Finally we reached Awha… It was a nice small place with lake in the front of the city and Petrol Pump on left. Ofcourse my eyes were more on petrol pump than Lake. We made the tank full and asked the attendant… “Is their anything to see in Awha”… No … he said. You can only see and visit places in Saputara… there is nothing much to see over here. “Why did he used the word Much”… I wondered… bcoz this mean.. there is something to see here.

Confused… I asked another fellow few steps ahead… “Brother… What all places are their to visit in Awha”… Nothing… he said. If you want, you can see this lake. Waah… Said I. The lake where all people/localities were busy in washing there….. $$$$$$$.... hehehe…. Chal.. lets go.. I said to my cousin. And we left for our onward journey to Saputara.

As expected… the view was amazing and it was full of trees all around. I was enjoying the back seat of the bike with the camera and few wafers in hand. Finally after riding for another 50Km something, we reached Saputara. A nice Fountain at the centre welcomed us.

Looking at the Restaurant, we just thought lets fill the stomach first & entered into it. Having lunch, we thought about inquiring for room rates to the attendant there. From my travelling experience I learned that it’s always better to ask few local people about the rates prevailing in hotels, so that I don’t get cheated. Hahaha... what a joke… I said. Why what happened… asked the attendant. I and my cousin were looking at one another thinking on what did he said. The attendant uttered the rates of rooms that were prevailing during this holiday…. Sir “It starts from Rs.2000 to Rs. 5000”. What more we could have said to this. We paid the bill and left the restaurant.

Looking at the map of saputara, we though “Since this is a very small place, with not much to see” Why don’t we use the bike and the time that we have and leave in the evening back to Mahua. The manager of the restaurant was behind us and heard this. Shall I give you all my 2 cent of advice… he said. Yes sure, Why not … cousin replied. You both are thinking in the right direction boys… he told. Saputara is very small and also you are on adventure trip and not on romantic… you can do this. Be it a comment or anything… he was speaking the logic. It doesn’t serve to waste money on just a night hault.. I thought.

We took this opportunity & asked him.. Which all places are there to see here. Finger on top… What… I asked.. Looking at his finger. That’s the map and the board which shows you everything… go there and check that out….. he said.

There was this Echo Garden, Jain Temple, Rose Garden, Rope way, Sunset & Sunrise point (as it is always there in all the hill stations), Boating. The sites were divided on two side… We can say North and South. To south it was Echo Garden, Jain Temple & Rose Garden and other was on other side. We preferred south before and left for the same. The Rose garden started and ended… we dint even realized, as their were few roses placed inside the garden. So we directly headed to Jain temple… did darshan their and left for echo point.

Huh…. Ni…… Sou….. errr… Where the hell is this echo point. By the time we try to hear the echo.. our voice got stucked within us. Its at that top… I cant even utter a word… leave the echo to come. Anyhow we climbed the top and sat there for few minutes till the time we get our nerves back on track. Took out the water bottle, added instant pack of nimbu pani.. had it. Ahhhh… what a relief.. I said. And The words started coming out from the mouth.

The view was very good from the top, but there was nothing much to do over there. So we left in few minutes and headed towards North. On the top was the rope way. Luckily this side of the rope way dint had any line and thus we got the chances to sit in the rope way without any hussle & waste of time. When we headed to other side, we found that people on that side were waiting since past 2 hours to get their turn. Lucky… I said.

Clicked few snaps from top…. Clicked few snaps of couples who were sitting in front of us.. who requested us to click their snap… ofcourse from their camera. Enjoyed the height and the view. It was an approximately 15-20 min ride. Took the bike back and came down towards Boating point. Now… we were not lucky here.. as the waiting was of around 30 Minutes and it was around 4 PM. We thought since we need to go down again… and since it’s a hilly area we should reach our destination before it gets dark.

We left the place and this time took the route of Wagai instead of Awha so that we can cover one more spot. This time the roads were very bad… full of humpty dumty ride…. Holes… uneven… what not. Finally after ride for 4 hours we reached our destination.

This time we did get lost once near a village called unai… but somehow we managed through small lanes and shortcuts to get back on our normal track. However, the journey was very good and enjoyed every moment of the same.

Next day we took the National Highway instead of State Highway. Driving on National Highway is much more adventurous as compared to State Highway. It is full of Risk and life resides on the edge. 75-80-82-79-80…. Ohhh… this was the speed by which we were driving the bike. I was on my toes most of the time.. praying that I reach home safely. Finally journey came to an end as i reached home and my eyes were preparing to see some new place in the next trip. Thus I started to think now on “Where & How will be my next trip”.
