Common Man – II

After writing an article on Common Man, I never thought that I might touch this topic again. But soon I realized that Common Man is not only a topic but also the fact & reality of human being in general. The recent fight between Maharashtra and Bihar; rather I would say it’s between Political group; fighting for the rights of their people. Is this not correct?

Though we say we are united, we are one, but such things make me think other way round. What are we doing to us? Why can’t we stand as one Nation? Why is their so much of discrimination? Now both the parties are fighting with one another by word of mouth. But who is the sufferer? Both parties say that they are fighting for the rights of their state people, but than why are they suffering. Who is feeling the pinch of these riots?

This is the time for Diwali. Every one is traveling from one place to another to meet their family members. Thousands of passengers are strangled on railway stations due to these riots. I am yet unable to understand why public transport is affected, why the taxis, buses, trains, shops, etc are set on fire. Who is responsible? How the people will travel? How would they reach their home?

A person with lot of dreams and saving might have just purchased a bicycle or motor cycle. In a second few fellows have set it on fire. What would be the situation of that person? Who will pay for his emotions, dreams, hardship with which he purchased the vehicle?

Their shall be some law enactment along with strict implementation which protect the rights of common man. People in general shall not be affected with any political words. Who we are and what are we doing. Who will bear the loss? It’s already the time of global turmoil, financial crisis, job cuts, etc. In such condition we are adding more loss and burden on government. Who will pay the tax? Who will bear the after affect of huge damage? What is the mistake of common man?

According to me the biggest mistake is common man supports one government, he expects something from them. This all leads to problem from political parties as they play all the tactics for vote bank. Common man is targeted always. Be it in good sense or bad sense, the final result is loss, suffer and damage is always borne by common man.

I hope this all ends soon, we be united and live happily forever.

So many questions...and no answers?? These, and many more such questions arise in the mind of almost every "Common Man"..kindly add some comments or suggetions on the situation..nice idea...but incomplete implementation.

yes puneet, i completely agree with you.

As i said we not only need law enactment but also strict implementation. sometimes i feel 100% democracy makes things difficult too..

These all are dogmatic solutions...but as far as I think, the problem lies in the mentality of people. Most of the Indians are still not able to digest the concept of "INDIA" as such. And kindly explain the meaning of 100% democracy?

hmm....

This is the most imp thing for an indian to learn.....

By 100% democracy, I mean complete democracy. As this leads to many problem bcoz ppl are free to do anything... their should be democracy but than control is most imp which is hardly seen.

Always people ask questions, do what they want... why cant their be strict law on some evil... their is always a loophole... I do respect democracy but than it shall be upto some extent(which is little difficult to explain).

@puneet: Dude...would love to hear your non-dogmatic suggestions/comments on the situation...more importantly...your concept of 'INDIA'...please enlighten us...

@Nihit: The common man is a sitting duck for every miscreant that vandalizes our cities...Maharashtra has tabled a law which lays the onus of compensation on a political party...if its *party workers* are found guilty of vandalizing property...this might help to assuage the financial losses...as long as there's democracy...politicians will play vote-bank politics...they will divide and rule...sad but true...there's a small correction in your article...people are 'stranded' and not 'strangled' on railway stations...plus you forgot the 'then' vs. 'than' gyaan...
